Being the first characters that are introduced on the play they are often referred to as "the wierd sisters" by most of the characters. They plot many mischeifs agaist Macbeth using potions and spells. Their predictions and prophecies are what caused Macbeth to plot death on Duncan, Banquo, Fleance and Macduff's family. Hecate is somewhat of a leader and the three sisters are her servants. They tell Banquo that his desendents would be king and they tell Macbeth that he wil be king.
