Duncan

King of Scotland
~character profile

short bio

King Duncan was the king of Scotland before his death on Act 2: Scene 1. He is the model of a virtuious, benevolent, and farsighted ruler yet he is also delightful. Shakespere made Duncan seem like the 'perfect' ruler. He is Macbeth's first victim and after his death the whole order of Scotland has turn completly into chaos. It was recovered when Malcolm, his first son, returned to take back the throne.
